The Creator God - First of the Trimurti
Lord Brahma is the creator god in Hinduism and the first member of the Trimurti (trinity) alongside Vishnu (preserver) and Shiva (destroyer). He is responsible for the creation of the universe and all beings. Brahma is depicted with four heads, representing the four Vedas, and four arms holding a water pot, spoon, lotus, and Vedas.
Unlike Vishnu and Shiva, Brahma is rarely worshipped in temples today. According to mythology, he was cursed by Shiva for lying about finding the top of the cosmic pillar of light. The only major temple dedicated to Brahma is at Pushkar in Rajasthan.
